Final Chapter of the everGREEN Project: Three Years of Driving Sustainability in VET
Last week, we held the final multiplier event for the everGREEN project at the European Parliament🇪🇺. The project has been instrumental in helping VET organizations transition towards sustainability.
Sarah Wild from Bupnet GmbH guided us through the project’s journey from inception to completion, highlighting our achievements such as courses, frameworks, and numerous other resources crucial for future greening efforts.
EVTA is incredibly proud to have contributed to this initiative, which has helped organizations become more eco-friendly. The project has also inspired us to adopt more sustainable practices within our own operations, reinforcing our commitment to making a positive impact on Europe’s greener future.
⭐️The event also featured a panel discussion on the importance of integrating green skills into VET curricula, led by Hugo Marques Moniz from INOVINTER – Centro de Formação e de Inovação Tecnológica, Sabine Wiemann from BUPNET, and Taube Van Melkebeke from the Green European Foundation, who gave the panel a perspective on European policy.
As we conclude this project, our focus now shifts to ensuring the utilisation of these resources. Moreover, in the realm of skilling and lifelong learning, we explored the concept of micro credentials, introduced by Oonagh McGirr FRSA from the World Alliance for Microcredentials Foundation. Moving forward, we aim to leverage our new connections with WAM to sustain the impacts of the everGREEN project.
